Providing a home for distressed children in need.

About Us…

Huis Triomf CYCC is an institution that takes care of children who have been placed there by order of the children's court as described in section 150 in the Children's Act, 38 of 2005. The Children's home was registered in 1991 as a non-profit organisation (NPO) at the Department of Social Development, as a child and youth care centre.

The home receives a monthly basic subsidy per child from the state. This allowance is unfortunately not sufficient to cover all the expenses, including the developmental needs of each child. The home, therefore, has to rely on contributions and fundraising projects, and also depends on the support of the community.

According to the conditions of registration the home may only accommodate neglected children who come from poor home conditions. The children's home is currently registered to accommodate a maximum of 60 children between the ages of 7 and 17 years. This home operates from an old building dating from the early years of the South African Railways. There is only one set of bathrooms in the building, which accounts for the principal reason why only boys can currently be accommodated.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
